Career Advice & Helpful Hints

Employers have a strong preference for recruiting people who have a firm idea about what they want to do.

If you are unsure about which career or job to go for then within the career advice section of our website you will find links to partner organisations who we hope will help you get an understanding of what may suit you best. In our view careers advice is not an exact science and with so many different roles, in different companies with different cultures the best advice should be used as a guide - not an absolute answer.

In this section we also offer advice on the various components of the interview process from CV writing and interviews through to negotiating salary rises when you have landed a job

It is essential that you perform your best at that all important face-to-face meeting with your prospective employer and if you are being represented by The Graduate Recruitment Company then our consultant will offer a great deal of help and advice.

Follow the links for a few tips that might help you to do your best in an interview and also make the interview process a little easier!
