Graduate Job Hunting Priorities

The Graduate Recruitment Company has been helping graduates find jobs since 1993, however it is important for us to understand what graduates are looking for when job hunting.

The statistics below highlight how enjoying the job itself (46% of responses) and career progression opportunities (33%) for graduates are the key priorities. Salary has a reasonable level of importance along with location however these are not the main priorities for a graduate. Social scene within the workplace and flexibility of the role have zero to very little importance the in the decision when seeking graduate jobs.

Dimitris Mouzourou, Marketing Manager for The Graduate Recruitment Company, comments on these findings within the graduate market, "It's good to see that the priority for graduates surrounds enjoyment of the career that they are about to embark on along with career progression, rather than focussing on salary and ease of location".
