This client delivers services in all major consumer, pharmaceutical, media and service sector market segments. This role is specifically working in the Retail and Technology sectors and will be based in their offices in Surrey.
Graduate Communications Assistant
Responsibilities for this role:
*Identify, develop and maintain strong media contacts within broadcast, radio and national/trade press thereby 'selling in' important breaking news to the media.
*Proactive and reactive approach to gaining press coverage for the company. Reading industry specific news and reports regularly.
*Hunt down killer facts and publish breaking market stories within the industry information pool and network.
*Produce weekly/monthly press releases or news stories, killer facts and newsletters that can be used thereby increasing traffic to our website. This can then also be used on the global website.
*Produce event and industry specific reports as and when required.
*Proof read articles produced by commercial teams for press and offer support and assistance.
*Search and identify press coverage and archive.
*Support with content for the website news pages.
*Support with event organisation (all aspects)
*Support with general admin tasks
*Support with desk research for events and industries
*Support with maintenance of UK website and social media sites
Graduate Communications Assistant
The right person will have the following skills:
*A strong English/Media/Marketing/Journalism degree (Minimum 2.1, Top 30 university)
*English A-Level
*Experience of writing and proof reading
*Excellent organisation skills
*Excellent communications skills both internally and externally
*Time management/ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise
*Clear, accurate grammatically correct written communication
