As a Graduate IT Developer you will be working for one of the largest consumer publishing houses in the UK for their flagship brand. This role is working for the world's largest Online newspaper in their incredibly successful digital team. Responsibilities
Your role will be to manage, maintain and improve this leading news website. The company have an in-house bespoke system of which they are incredibly proud and you will be fully trained on how it works and then use this to ensure the site runs as effectively as possible. This is a varied role which will give you exposure to all areas of running a website- and this one has over 90 million unique users a month! You will be uploading information via the CMS system and constantly finding ways to improve and tweak the site- you can really get involved in making a huge impact whilst working within a close knit team.

Your Profile
You will have a technical- ideally Computer Science degree and be very passionate about Online media and technology. You need to be a passionate coder and user of HTML, etc! Do you code on the weekend? Have you built websites in your spare time? Do you want to gain some commercial experience in graduate role which will train you up and invest lots in developing you and your future career? Then this could be the ideal role for you. The client is looking for candidates who are especially strong in scripting languages such as PHP, Phython, etc so if you have that background that would be of special interest. Experience in a work place is not necessary but enthusiasm for IT and technology and the desire to learn is!
