As a Graduate Trainee Commodity Trader you must have a strong desire to be part of a large and successful BioEnergy company. The ideal Graduate Trainee Commodity Trader will be highly analytical with a relevant degree in Agri-business, Economics, Finance etc. For the role of Graduate Trainee Commodity Trainer a background in farming or agriculture in an educational, working or personal level is essential. To be successful in the role of Graduate Trainee Commodity Trader you will be client facing and have excellent communication and interpersonal skills teamed with strong leadership abilities. A Graduate Trainee Commodity Trader will have proven success from past experiences, with an interest in price comparison and market analysis within the energy/seeds markets. An ideal Graduate Trainee Commodity Trader will have some experience within the agricultural market place.
For this role you will be based in the UK but working in the UK and German markets, so must speak English and German fluently.
The Role
The role of Graduate Trainee Commodity Trader is a varied one. Working directly under the Head of Trading you will be trained on Energy/Seed markets and how to manage the trade book. You will be responsible for market analysis and comparison, making sure you are up to date with the current market pricing index for the seed and stock market. You will have meetings with farmers, both buyers and sellers of the seed commodity, and you would be responsible for advising them and keeping them up to date with the market conditions and what they should be doing with their stock.
