Aspire Global Network celebrates double whammy

21 Nov 11 - 12:00AM
  • Voted Recruitment Company of the Year 2011 at the APSCo Awards for Excellence
  • Network defies economic gloom with record half year results revealed at +26%

Aspire Global Network has scooped Recruitment Company of the Year 2011 (<£20m turn over) at this year’s APSCo Awards for Excellence.

Aspire Global Network has seen a strong 26% increase in GP/net fee income to £5.17m for the first half year ending (May 1st to October 31st 2011), up from £4m for the previous year. Results gave a positive outlook, indicating continued investment with net profit rising 15%.

The APSCo (Association of Professional Staffing Companies) annual awards are a highly reputed awards scheme for the recruitment sector. Recognising Aspire Global Network as investors in people, branding and support, the judges said:

“A mature and complex organisation, this company demonstrated a coherent and holistic approach to their services with good externally audited evidence. Their recent re-brand brings the group together with a central services provision that adds real value and includes impressive career development programmes to give all staff members something to truly ‘Aspire’ to.”

The accolade came just as the multi-sector recruiter revealed impressive growth at the half year as all areas of the Network continue to defy market gloom.

The group which comprises six specialist recruitment brands: pfj, The Graduate Recruitment Company, rpcushing, Persicope, ICUR and Aspire Global Network Asia, saw turnover rise 19% to £6.77m, from £5.68m last year, showing the Network go from strength to strength.

Paul Farrer, Chairman of Aspire Global Network, commented on recent successes of the Network saying:

“Winning Recruitment Company of the Year is a huge compliment to the Network. This year we have had a complete re-brand, replaced our entire IT infrastructure with a new CRM, integrated the Periscope acquisition into the Network, and launched the first ever Media/Marcomms employee engagement survey via IPSOS. With the gloomy economic landscape, we think our first half performance is nothing less than stellar - truly aspirational.”

He added: “To add to headcount and improve net fee income per fee earner clearly demonstrates the talent we have in the Network and what a terrific job our Managers are doing as we have been able to continue investing into new markets and regions taking a long term view. For a relatively small company we have a big vision and are well set on our way to achieving it.”

Aspire Global Network prides itself on creating an inviting and engaging work place for both its own employees and in the recruitment services it provides. As part of their welcome, Paul Farrer and his team at Aspire Global Network has created an engaging film for prospective employees:
