And graduates would have to look no further than Facebook to find out how, it has been reported.
Since the beginning of the month the Secret Service has been advertising on the social networking site in an attempt to broaden its graduate recruitment base.
The ads are straightforward, explaining that applicants must be "Motivated, high calibre people, with a strong political curiosity, impressive intellect and an international perspective".
In previous years MI6 graduate recruitment was something of a legend, and often consisted of simply a tap on the shoulder at university.
Graduates looking for other kinds of work, however, may do better signing up with a recruitment agency, which can offer practical advice as well as find jobs for graduates of all degrees.
