Media agencies and advertisers will now be able to manage their AdWords
campaigns while out and about, after Google's addition of mobile
support for customers.
Those wanting to end campaigns, delete keywords or change bid prices will be able to do so from their phones.
It will also become possible to customise alerts to register any immediate feedback.
However, customers will not be able to launch campaigns from their mobile phones.
The
addition came following advice from current users of the service, who
feel hampered by the inability to control campaigns while on the go.
The
service is expected to work with the iPhone, Android and Palm devices,
with the company aiming to roll out the support to Blackberry users
after some tweaking.
Speaking to Ad Week, Matt Strain, the head
of search shop Trademark Interactive, said: "It's simply the real-time
nature of the channel. It allows us to see and adjust any fluctuations
outside of the norm."
