Media agencies merge creating new job hopes

Despite the merger meaning the new company will be called MC&C, PI Media founder Ian Prager is to remain in place after years of healthy rivalry between him and MC&C director Mike Colling.
"Ian and I have competed with each other at our respective agencies across the years, each of us winning business from the other," Mr Colling told Precision Marketing.
"His arrival here adds a huge weight of experience and expertise to the MC&C team."
Commenting on the merge, Mr Prager, who also founded Prager Proximity and was a managing director of CIA Direct, said that MC&C's reputation precedes them.
"I’ve long been impressed by MC&C's ability to deliver real value to their clients' business," he said.
"They're the type of people who you'd want with you if things turned nasty."
In a separate shake-up at the agency, more media jobs may be created with the departure of head of media Spencer Stratford and head of commercial services Paul Cox.
