Telegraph editor-at-large moves to Sky

The Daily Telegraph's editor-at-large, Jeff Randall, is to step down from his post at the newspaper to take his Sky News TV show to four nights a week, it has been revealed.

Currently, the editor of the paper hosts a weekly financial show, Jeff Randall Live, which airs on Sky News on Monday evenings, but with the economy being thrust so forcefully into the limelight Mr Randall is planning four shows a week as of January.

A Guardian report carried a quote from John Ryley, the head of Sky News, who stated that Mr Randall would provide "invaluable insight, analysis and interviews".

Mr Randall himself was quoted by the paper as saying: "With the economy and credit crunch dominating the headlines this is an exciting time to help expand Sky's excellent business coverage."

Having been editor-at-large at the Daily Telegraph for three years, Mr Randall will continue to write a column for the paper once he moves to Sky News full time in January 2009.

The Telegraph Media Group has been in the news regularly of late due to its continued cutbacks in recruitment, which has led to scores of editorial jobs being cut, and replaced with more multimedia-focused roles.
