Course Outline

Communication Styles – this session looks at the different ways people communicate and how these behaviours can be perceived by others as aggressive, submissive or assertive behaviour Assertive behaviour and body language – what assertive and non-assertive behaviour looks like, the body language signals we demonstrate and how we can be more assertive using the 3 steps to assertiveness.

Course Aim

To provide delegates with an understanding of the different ways in which people communicate, and the skills necessary to behave more assertively.

Course Objectives

By the end of the course, delegates will be able to: 

- Explain the different communication styles and the strengths and weaknesses of each
- Demonstrate what assertive behaviour looks like
- Conduct a meeting or have a discussion using assertive behaviour

Duration: 3.5 hours

Cost:  £1,500 for up to 10 delegates (£150 per person)

Monitoring and evaluating – the delegates manager will complete a 360 degree feedback exercise on the delegate prior to the training and again 3-months post training, to ascertain if the delegate has implemented what they have learned.
