Course Outline
Characteristics of a team – What does a successful team look like? What behaviours will a successful team collectively demonstrate?
Team role types – delegates complete Belbins team role types questionnaire and analyse the behaviours of their team, and any potential issues the team mix may create and how to overcome them
Stages of team evolution – looks at the stages a team goes through when the team dynamic is disturbed, and methods to overcome the disturbance
Team building exercises – delegates will take part in team exercises that will highlight behaviours in themselves that may have an impact on their own teams.
Course Aim
To identify how to make best use of the skills and qualities within your existing team, to ensure that the team operates at optimum performance levels.
Course Objectives
By the end of the course delegates will be able to:
- Explain what a successful team looks like
- Identify behaviours within the team and how to use these behaviours to benefit the teams performance
- Explain the stages of team evolution and how to work through them to achieve a performing team
Duration: 3.5 hours
Cost: £1,500 for up to 10 delegates (£150 per person)
Monitoring and evaluating – a measure will be taken of the teams overall performance prior to the training, and then again 3 months post-training to identify if the manager has effected an improvement or stabilisation in the performance of the team as a whole.
